Fun in the sun! Sunscreens and other preventative items for those sunny days! + tips for those who are photosensitive!

Hey everyone!

Since it is beginning to get warmer out, I thought that I'd share with you some of my favorite products for the sunny days!

First off I wanted to say that I have photosensitivity, and this post is aimed for those alike, and those that need to be protected from the sun as well (which is EVERYONE!) :)

Starting Top down:

This is one area that people tend to forget about a lot. Please remember that your scalp is very susceptible to damage from the sun, and to cover that noggin! My Grandpa has actually had skin cancer twice on his scalp, and his hair is thin but he isn't balding. Having hair does not completely protect your head!

Here I have a fedora style hat from Target (Buy it here!) and the It's a 10 miracle leave-in for Blondes (which I reviewed here!).

The hat helps to keep the sun away from both my scalp, and part of my forehead. I'm still not sure how I feel about hats, but if it helps to prevent me from hurting later on then it is worth it!

The It's a 10 leave-in has UV protection in it, which is PERFECT for those days out in the sun! (You can read more of my thoughts on it in this post!)

Sunglasses:

Sunglasses are SUPER important! Not only can they make you look and feel cool, and keep the sun out of your eyes, they also protect them! Your eyes can actually get sunburned too, believe it or not, and I don't know about you but that doesn't sound pleasant to me!

Of course, broad spectrum sunglasses are the best, but even a little something helps. The sunglasses protect both your eyes, and the delicate skin around them, so the bigger the sunglasses the better in some cases! This prevents wrinkles and sunspots around there too!

I have the aviator sunglasses from American Eagle, and the Cat eye sunglasses from Old Navy (both purchased last year).

Side note- if you have blue eyes then your eyes are more sensitive to light, so keep them peepers covered!

Bath and Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Body scrub + Aloe Gel lotion | REVIEW

Hello all!

Today I have a review on one of the scents from Bath and Body Works' Hawaii collection!

I absolutely love the Waikiki Beach Coconut line because it not only smells SUPER yummy, but the products also feel amazing! There are other scents in the collection as well (a few that I have purchased but haven't tried yet) but this one is especially refreshing!

I picked up the Crushed Coconut body scrub and also the Aloe gel lotion, which, by the name of it you can probably tell that the main scent is coconut. I am a little addicted to coconut scented items (but oddly hate the flavor of coconut!), but interestingly... I think that this smells more like a smoothie!  Haha, odd I know, but for some reason I just keep thinking that this smells like a really nice smoothie, and I wish I could eat it! ;)

If you don't like the smell of coconut please don't be discouraged! This does not have too much of the typical "warm coconut" scent to it so it isn't overpowering! Now if you do like warm coconut then check out the Oahu line!

The body scrub is absolutely amazing because it is creamy, but also does offer some exfoliation (but not too much to scratch you).

I love the aloe gel lotion because it sinks into your skin really well while leaving your skin smelling nice! I like this because since it has aloe in it it helps to soothe irritated skin! Perfect for after you shave your legs ;)

I ended up buying a couple of the scrubs and a large size of the lotion because I love them so much! The other scents in this collection come in scrubs and lotions as well!!

Get these before they're gone.. you don't want to miss out! Also, there are many deals happening now (like buy 3 get 3 FREE! yes, you read that right) so I'd say it's worth it to go smell them :) I'm not sure what deals are going on now, but still... GET THEM WHILE YOU CAN! :)

That's all for now...
Hope you all had a good day!

Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb + others | Review

Hey everyone!

So I am a big Lush fan, and I have been running out of my favorite bath products recently. Yesterday I popped into Lush quickly to see if they had the Avobath and the Butterball bath bombs, but of course those were the only 2 that were COMPLETELY gone (and the ones I wanted the most). So instead I decided to get the "Big Blue" bath bomb to transform my bath into a wonderful vacation get away :)

Most people drop the entire bomb into their bath right away, but I don't. I literally carve away at it and it didn't use even a quarter of it. Some day I will put the whole bomb (or half) into the water, but I just feel like I'm wasting it and literally lying in the money that's going to go down the drain. I like to get a couple of uses out of it and enjoy it too!

CLARISONIC review | Cashmere luxe brush head

Oh the Clarisonic... you all have probably seen a bunch on this, so I'm hoping this won't be too much!

My Clarisonic is so old that they don't even make this model anymore! This is the very original model and I can't even remember how much it was... maybe $99? Anyways, it only has one speed and unfortunately mine does not really hold a charge anymore. I don't mind that there is only one speed, because I don't think I'd like it to be faster. The charger for mine is a dock style, so in other words I place it into the charger and plug it into the wall. I'm not 100% positive but I think the new chargers aren't like this?
As you can see, my Clarisonic is now discolored... I'm not sure exactly how it happened, but it isn't
the prettiest. BUT, it's what's on the inside that counts, right?!
